Sam Altman Promises AGI, But AI Cannot Run a Real Business
Tech executives like Sam Altman claim that artificial general intelligence is near, but the daily operations of a real business show a different reality.
Software firms use AI trained on billions of lines of code to cut 3 junior programmers down to 1 senior programmer, and big corporations use it to remove administrative inefficiency. A real business does not run like a closed mathematical model, and its profit depends on a 1% to 2% advantage in human judgment across departments, customers and networks of 10 overseas suppliers. Even 1,000 workplace cameras cannot record institutional memory, company culture or how a financial director reacted to a budget request 2 years ago.
AI completes isolated software tasks across billions of lines of code, but it cannot replace the human judgment and physical workplace links that run a real business over the next 10 years.
